James Rigby

As an update, I moved over to Auckland last month (Feb '09) for a new job working in communications with the Super 14 rugby team the Auckland Blues.  So far it has been brilliant, I have really enjoyed it and working in rugby and journalism has been ideal.  Auckland seems like a fabulous place but I have been too busy to really explore it with the season having just kicked off so hopefully I will soon have some time to check it all out!

I have still been keeping up the Spanish since my time at Las Beatas; I studied it at University and also had a trip to Central and South America last year ('08) which was fabulous.  I ended up travelling to the Beijing Olympic Games as a journalist last year which was an amazing opportunity and interviewed most of the Hispanic athletes.

Anyway I must head off, it is great to hear from you and please send my regards to your family, Patsy and Susan and of course Jesus and his family too. I often think about my time in Spain with you all and the fabulous opportunities you gave me so I hope everything is still going well over there.
